  13. This Technical Note formerly discussed a bug involving buffering and serial 
  14. port setting commands in the modem firmware in ROM 1.0.

  17. Apple IIGS ROM 2.0 fixes a bug involving buffering and serial port setting 
  18. commands in the modem firmware.  You should not have to write a special case 
  19. to handle this bug since it is reasonable to expect users to have the updated 
  20. ROM which is offered as a free upgrade from Apple.
